go-kart
secret end of year project

Riding a Go-Kart is a lot of fun, whether you are a kid or an adult.  Our Director, Mark Waudby, had decided this would be Waudcray’s Secret End of Year Project.

The inspiration for the design of the go-kart came from Mark’s favourite vehicle design, the Hot Rod.  Since this Go-Kart was going to be used mainly by children, it needed to be child-friendly and environmentally friendly.  This is why he went for an electrical version which included an Emergency Kill Switch.

Mark started a basic 2D floor design.  Which over time, turned this piece of paper into reality.

Another design feature of the electric Go-Kart is the roof would be left open.  This was in case an adult decided to ride it instead.  Also because we have really tall ‘kids’.

Once the secret project was up and running, several test rides were completed by our ‘experts’.  Seats were then adjusted, and the front and back windshield was installed.  Our ‘tall’ kids at the workshop got their final chance on it before it went to its new home.

Here is the video of Waudcray’s Secret Project showing its transformation and the fun Waudcray’s ‘kids’ had testing it out.
